In this warm up the players will make a comment on a fish size and hold their hands out in front of them like they are holding a fish. The fist player will turn to the next player in the circle and say “big fish” holding their hands apart like they are demonstrating the size of a big catch. That player accepts the fish by miming their hands the same distance apart.
Players are assigned a broad category to reference. The categories must be broad. For example, cars, toys, cutlery, food, etc. Then they make endlress references to the category.
Big Blob is both an exercise and a warm up. This is the warm up version of this structure. The leader asks each player to walk across the stage to the other side. However, in their path is a giant blob of goo. The leader should describe a big blob of goo blocking the path of the player’s walk across the stage. The blob will have density, viscosity, visibility endowments that will impact how the players move through the blob.
